Basic information
WodGuru e-mails are available to everyone, with no extra charge.
We can send them in several different ways:
- Automatic messages
- Email campaigns (Communication > Campaigns)
- Instant messages (directly from a schedule or a members' list)
Default settings
By default, all emails are sent from your WodGuru email address:
All emails sent to the above address (usually they will be simply replies from gym members) are redirected to the address that you can set in the Settings > Sending messages tab

Message history
In Communication > Message history tab, you will be able to find the whole history of the emails you've sent to your members.

Once you click on the loope icon, you will see the body of a message:

Email delivery
It happens that some of the messages you send will bounce off the recipient's mail. Assuming the recipient's email address is correct, this is because your email may be treated as SPAM.
Whether an email ends up in spam or not depends on many factors, and there are a lot of articles on the web about it, for example:
What WodGuru does to prevent this from happening:
- Adds the option to opt-out of receiving emails (unsubscribe)
- It remembers the addresses to which the message could not be delivered and blocks sending emails to those addresses in the future
- Breaks down big amounts of emails into smaller parts so they are not sent all at once
What WodGuru has no influence on:
- The content of the message,
- The title of the message,
- The addressee
When we use the default WodGuru email address, reputation is built by all WodGuru customers using @mg.wod.guru.
To become slightly independent, you can integrate WodGuru with your gym's email box using the SMTP protocol.
Dynamic variables in automated emails for team members
Using dynamic variables, which are available in Wodguru, you can collect data about a new member in your club 😉
How can you do it? 🤔 In a few simple steps!
- You have to create a new e-mail automation.
- Not all automation will collect those data. Example of automations thanks to which we can collect this data are:
- athlete registration
- athlete booking
- You have to choose job that automation needs to make. And so if we choose to send e-mail, we have to choose a team member as the recipient 😉
- Enter dynamic variables. An example of such an e-mail:

- Click save. After that, when a member has registered, you'll get information that he fills in in the registration field 🥳
