# QR codes

### QR codes
 
In WodGuru, you have the option of using the QR code available in the gym member's application, just like a classic proximity / barcode card!

| To enable the QR codes module, go to Settings > Modules and enable the ‘QR codes’ module <3

# Advantages of QR codes:

* Your gym members do not need to carry the card with them 😉
* You can save a lot of money by not printing cards 😎

All you need is a suitable reader. List of currently supported readers that support QR codes:

* Honeywell 1470g
* Zebra DS2208
* Zebra DS9208
* Zebra DS9308

# How do QR codes work in WodGuru?

##### 1. Scanning QR code by a member

1. The gym member, entering the club, opens the application scans his QR code.
2. The gym member's profile appears on the screen of your computer - everything works in the same way as with the classic cards - If a member has multiple memberships ([**or a family account**](/en/article/family-accounts-1e8ykdf/)), an option to generate a code for a specific membership will appear! ##### 2. Scanning QR code directly by the crew from their app

**And how does it work?**

**Quite easy I must say!** :D  

1. Go to your club's app on your phone.
2. In the **upper-right corner**, click the **three dots** and look for the reader icon.
3. After you click on it, it will turn on the reader, you will be able to scan the code and you will see a mini version of the member's profile.
4. You can manage their attendance right away.
5. You can close both windows (the scanner window and the member's profile window).

# Marking attendance

When the code is read by the scanner, system marks the club member's attendance at the upcoming class.

Our default time settings are as follows:

* for club members with classic passes (price greater than USD 0) - we mark attendance at classes within 90 minutes when the code is read. **That is: the club member is registered for classes at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. He comes at 4:40 PM and clocks in. The system will mark his attendance at both of these classes.**

* for Multisports (passes for USD 0) - it will mark attendance at classes within 40 minutes when the club member punches the code

# Where else can QR codes be useful?

QR codes are also needed when you use the Automated Reception module. In this case, for the tablet to recognize the club member, he must show his QR code to the camera. You can read more about the Automated Reception here: [POS - Automated reception](/en/article/pos-automated-reception-bcai44/)
