# Absence fee & booking ban

### Absence fee & booking ban — how it works  

Sometimes a member books a class... and never shows up.  
They take a spot, others can’t join, and your coach ends up training an empty room 😅  

In WodGuru you can totally fix that 🙌  

You’ve got **three options**:  

1. **Absence fee**,  
2. **Booking ban**,  
3. **Blocking bookings based on wallet state.**  

You can use each one separately — or combine them all, depending on how your club works!

# Where to enable absence fee?

Make sure you have the [**wallet**](/en/article/wallet-stt6nv/) module enabled.

Go to **Settings → Bookings rules** and edit your booking rules section to set the fee amount for missed classes.

# When does the system charge an absence fee?

* Member was booked but didn’t show up.  
* You remove them from the class → the system will ask if you want to charge the absence fee.  
* You can always edit the amount before confirming ;)  

| Each time, you can decide if you want to charge the fee — or skip it, if there’s a reason not to ;)

# How to enable paying off the debt in the app?

**You need to have** [**online payments**](/en/article/online-payments-11r4itw/) **enabled**
If it is enabled, go to the ***Settings>Online payments*** tab and allow the wallet payoff by enabling the slider on the right:

# Booking ban after no-show

Sometimes instead of a fee, you prefer a short break from bookings 😉  

That’s what the **Booking ban** is for!  

You’ll find it in:  

***Settings → Booking rules → Bookings ban***

### How it works:  

* Member misses a class → you remove them → system asks if you want to apply a ban.  
* You can set how many days the ban should last.  

||| The booking ban applies to the member’s entire account in the club, regardless of which membership they use!

**In the app, members will see this message:**

| 👉 You can change the ban end date directly from the [member’s profile edition](/en/article/members-profile-edition-guide-for-a-club-340ubw/). Each change will be saved in the member’s history <3

# How to block bookings for members with debt in their wallets?

If you want to make sure a member **can’t book any classes until their wallet balance is positive**, go to:

***Settings → Memberships → Advanced settings → Membership limitations***

In the section **"Block bookings based on wallet state"**, set the amount from which the system will start blocking bookings.  

* For example:  
  If you set it to “0”, a member with any negative wallet state won’t be able to book classes :D  

| This works perfectly with absence fees — the system automatically prevents debtors from booking new classes 😉

# How does it all work together?

### You’ve got full flexibility! <3  

**You can:**

* only charge an absence fee,  
* use a booking ban after a no-show,  
* or combine all three options.  

💡 **Example:**  

A member doesn’t show up → you charge the fee → wallet goes negative → the system automatically blocks bookings until they pay it off!

No manual tracking needed — everything happens automatically 😎  
Pretty cool, right? :p
